Photography is a joy! After a perfect moment has been captured, I feel bliss and I adore the picture over and over again. In fact, I love the feeling of giving people an experience of their life through my lens. I know you would like to do the same. Let me help you out with this-
I am here to share 3 simple beginner tips, which would help you to enhance your photography skills to the next level and soon you will become a professional in taking pictures like me (hahaha…).
Let’s get started!
Rule 1: RULE OF THIRDS
This is one of my favourite feature in photography and I use it quite often especially when the picture involves human interaction. You’re not the only one who has ignored this rule, during my initial stages of photography, I have done the same and never thought it would make difference, but let me tell you I was totally wrong, it does! So what is this rule? Let me explain it to you.
Start by imagining your picture in a grid system with three horizontal and three vertical columns like a tic-tac board. Now try and put your main focal point in one of the columns that would give your picture a great depth and perspective. I know it’s not easy to remember this feature, but the more you try, you’ll get a hang of it. Once you have pursued this tactic, your pictures will automatically turn out to be awesome.
Rule 2: FLASH ON OR OFF?
This is a tricky one! Let me be honest, we are always in a dilemma whether to keep the flash on or off or when you use it actually. For me never: P. However, in order to take a perfect shot it takes a bit of time, skills and to know when to use flash. But here is the easy tip to remember when to use flash. Try not to use flash when you’re inside, for example in a house or any other place similar to it. This will change the natural lighting and the background of your photo will be immensely affected and you’ll see white light splattered in the pictures. As far as outside is a concern, you can use your judgement and test couple of click before you go for the final shot. But remember- this thumb rule, if the sun is up, flash should be off.
Rule 3: THINK BEFORE ACTING!
It’s always great when you get a lovely photograph by accident. But, to take a great shot you should be able to visualize the location and people in it before you can even capture. This pre-exercise prepares your mind to be organized before the shoo. Once you have the vision it becomes easy to act on it; no doubt it always works for me.
This 3 simple beginner photography tips will immensely improve your photography skills.
